Motorcycle Tour of Vietnam
Robert, Rob, Rick and Neil joined a 30 day Motorcycle Tour
from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi
The tour was organised by Sue and Colin of Slow Cruze Tours in Bermagui
The tour is generally max 15 riders , a bus following us, carrying our luggage and also the non-riding participants.
Not knowing what to expect , it turned out to be an amazing adventure, great company and comradery,
fantastic scenery, seeing so much over this 3000+ km tour.
Below some photos of our trip and some brief comments.

Rob, Rick and Robert with our last cappuccino and pie in Nowra on our way to Sydney.
Neil joined us the next morning for our flight to Ho Chi Minh

On day 2 , a bus took us to Da Lat where we picked up our bikes and our first taste of that amazing traffic.

The following photos are not in any particular order, just an impression of the landscape, the people,
the traffic, the roads, our accommodation.

Only a few wet days, bought some cheap plastic ponchos

Hundred of km's of narrow winding roads through beautiful scenery.

A church ruin from the Vietnam war

Some of the beautiful food along the way

A typical power pole, an electrician's nightmare

A monument commemorating the construction of the Ho Chi Minh trail ,
which was a trail/track/tunnel network totaling 16,000km

Our only ferry crossing, all the bikes fitted on, except the bus which went on a larger barge.

After the ride it is Beer O'Clock before dinner

One of the many coffee stops along the way

One of our hotels

Sue and Colin , our tour organisers

Some interesting roadworks, very few signs or traffic control

We stopped near a school to put on our wet gear and every kid came out

Beautiful aroma of the cinnamon tubes drying in the sun

A great way to make a steel communication tower blend in with the environment

A quiet morning stroll through the rice fields

Some of the nice architecture

Two of the many very extensive cemetaries

The mist rolling into the tourist area of Sa Pa

Another Bahn Mi roll for breakfast
