ULYSSES NATIONAL RALLY/AGM

NAMBOUR QUEENSLAND

18th to 24th May 2026

Four of our members went up north to Nambour for the Annual Ulysses Rally.

The rally was attended by 687 members, most staying at the showground

at Nambour , which was the venue for all main events.

After 3 sunny days riding north via Cowra, Dubbo, Warialda, Texas , Warwick,

we finally hit rain closer to Brisbane.

Neil and Branko followed the Hwy 1 and copped a lot of rain.

Rick and Robert in Ferny Grove Brisbane (were we stayed with friends we met on

our Vietnam adventure),  getting ready for more rain before heading to Nambour.

We stayed there an extra night due to the heavy rain on the Monday , the first day of the Rally.

 

Still wet when we arrived in Tent City on Tuesday.

Rick and I joined one of the rides on Wednesday , the groups were about 20 maximum each.

The destination was the Apollonian Hotel in Boreen Point on Lake Cootharaba.

An organised BBQ lunch stop, only 1 option on the menu but a lot of food.

 

The Thursday ride was to the Pitstop Cafe on Mount Mee

Lots of winding roads and a interesting decor at the Cafe with a beautiful view.

Branko on the left ,arrived a little later and missed out on the group photo.

The Saturday morning mass ride , only 14km with 15 traffic lights and 3 stop signs.

We volunteered to sell Raffle tickets 2 afternoons but we didn't win the main prize.

The main Saturday night dinner, about 480 members and guests

Very well organised and ran like clockwork.
